Our next blood drive will be on Thursday, Nov 17, from 10:00 am - 3:00 pm.
It takes about an hour to help save a life! If you’ve never donated blood, it is easy. Check-in, get a mini-health assessment, and then relax on the padded table. Oh! and refill with a beverage and a snack.
Signing up is just as easy — go to https://www.redcrossblood.org/mydrives.html/drive/1-CPBIVD2 and pick your time. Some slots are double, so sign up with a friend!
Contact the church office with any questions.

Our annual Charge Conference is on Sunday, Nov 6, from 3:00-5:30 pm in the sanctuary.
We will meet with our District Superintendent, Tim Overton-Harris, for the usual business but also to envision how Westsiders can make an impact in the community and beyond.
All are invited to attend.
All are invited to join us in the Lighthouse this Sunday, Oct 16, at 5:00 pm.
We will be viewing “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat,” the 1999 filmed version of the Tim Rice and Andrew Lloyd Webber's classic family stage musical.
It’s the story of Joseph (Donny Osmond), son of Jacob (Sir Richard Attenborough). The favored son, he is betrayed by his jealous brothers and sold into slavery and driven to Egypt. Though beset with adversity, Joseph perseveres through wit and faith and becomes the Governor of Egypt, second only to the Pharaoh. This all sets the scene for when he meets his brothers who have come to Egypt to purchase food.
You won’t want to miss this humorous retelling of Genesis. Pizza and popcorn will be provided; please bring your own beverage.

We are called to embody our faith in the midst of a very specific local congregation and community, in the midst of people with real problems and peculiarities, in the midst of people who know about our eccentricities and weaknesses. —Mark W Stamm
We are here to support each other through our personal faith journeys. God means for us to travel this road together.

We don’t want to give away any surprises, but don’t miss this Sunday! Or any Sunday in October, to be honest.
Here are a few hints: jingle, abundance, Tigger, beachballs, Cesie.
See you Sunday! :)

Ladies, here’s a message from Debbie G about the Women’s Retreat in November:
Just did a walk through Scholl's Valley Lodge. Beautiful property - so quiet and peaceful. They just put in a prayer labyrinth; how cool is that?
I'm getting excited! We are filling up so get your reservation in.

As families ‘graduate’ from the Family Promise program and move into their own homes, they need many items to get started. If you can provide any of the following, please bring them to the church entryway and contact Bonnie B so that she may deliver them:
Gift cards to clothing stores and/or Goodwill
Gently used pots, pans, silverware, and other kitchenware
Cleaning products for kitchen and bath - soap, sponges, rubber gloves, broom, etc
Thank you!
