Be a Lighthouse Keeper

Outside groups use our Lighthouse regularly for meetings and parties (www.westsidejourney.com/building-use-request)

We need a team of volunteers who will ensure that the building is neat and tidy before and after events.

If you are available mid-week or on Sundays before or after worship, please email the church office.  Our office admin will notify the team when an event is scheduled so that a member of the team can drop by.  It shouldn’t take more than 10-20 minutes per event.

Thank you for your valuable help!

This Sunday: Human Relations Day

On six Special Sundays in 2023, all United Methodist Churches are invited to support vital work both locally and globally.  The impact of 12.5 million United Methodists, in 136 countries, is phenomenal.

This Sunday, Jan 22, we will celebrate Human Relations Day, the day to support Volunteers in Mission and building community programs that work with at-risk teens.

Upcoming Special Sundays celebrate UMCOR, Peace with Justice, UMC Students, Native American Ministries, and World Communion.

There will be a special envelope in your worship bulletin or you may donate online at ResourceUMC.org/SSGive. Please give as you feel led.

Dominican Republic Trip 2023

July 8 - 15 has been set as the dates for the 2023 mission trip to the Dominican Republic.

This year, the volunteers will focus on adding a third story to the school. Many of the classrooms are extremely overcrowded, making instruction very challenging.

World Servants organizes the trip. For more information on travel, the work, and the relationships built, please contact Wendy F.

Volunteers Needed this Thursday

Call the WFWA office at 503-681-9399 or contact Merry G to help.
